Photon Matrix Privacy Policy

Photon Matrix Privacy Policy

General

Last Updated: August 28, 2026

Thank you for your interest in Changzhou Guangzhiju Intelligent Technology Co., Ltd, operating under the brand name Photon Matrix (“Photon Matrix,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, store, and protect personal information when you use our websites, online store, mobile applications, hardware, firmware, customer support, and related services (collectively, the “Services”).

This Policy applies to photonmatrixlab.com, store.photonmatrixlab.com, Photon Matrix mobile applications, Photon Matrix mosquito defense devices, and communications with our sales, technical support, and after-sales teams.

This Policy explains:

  • what information we collect and where it comes from;
  • how we use, disclose, and retain information;
  • how our APP, connected devices, Shopify store, cookies, and analytics tools handle information;
  • the privacy rights and choices available to you; and
  • how to contact us about privacy.

By using the Services, you acknowledge that you have read this Policy. If a separate notice appears when a feature collects information, that notice also applies to that feature. Where local law provides stronger rights or protections, we will apply those requirements.

Information We Collect

The information we collect depends on how you interact with Photon Matrix and which Services you use.

Information You Provide

  • Account information: name, email address, phone number, password or authentication information, country or region, and account preferences when you create a store or APP account.
  • Order and contact information: billing and shipping address, recipient name, telephone number, email address, order number, purchased products, selected versions and accessories, and transaction status.
  • Payment-related information: payment method, billing details, payment confirmation, fraud-screening results, and limited payment information supplied by Shopify or the applicable payment provider. Full payment card details are generally processed by the payment provider rather than stored directly by Photon Matrix.
  • Communications: messages, inquiries, feedback, survey responses, reviews, call or email details, and files, photos, videos, or logs you choose to send to customer support.
  • Marketing preferences: newsletter subscriptions, consent records, campaign responses, and communication preferences.

Information Collected Automatically

  • Website and technical information: IP address, browser type, operating system, device type, language, approximate location derived from IP, referring page, pages viewed, links clicked, session time, and cookie or similar identifiers.
  • APP information: APP version, mobile device model, operating system, language, network type, crash information, feature usage, and permissions you choose to grant.
  • Product and device information: model, serial number or device identifier, firmware version, activation or pairing status, operating settings, device status, error codes, diagnostic records, and support history.

Information From Other Sources

We may receive information from Shopify, payment providers, logistics carriers, distributors, authorized partners, advertising and analytics providers, social platforms, fraud-prevention providers, and other service providers where permitted by law.

How We Collect Information

We collect information in the following ways:

  • Directly from you when you place an order, create an account, connect a device, contact us, request service, subscribe to updates, or submit content.
  • Automatically through websites, cookies, pixels, APP software, firmware, device connections, and security or diagnostic technologies.
  • From service providers that support payments, ecommerce, delivery, hosting, analytics, advertising, customer service, security, and fraud prevention.
  • From business partners such as distributors, resellers, campaign platforms, or authorized sales channels when they are permitted to provide the information to us.

If information is necessary to complete an order, activate a feature, provide support, comply with law, or protect the Services, declining to provide it may prevent us from delivering that part of the Services.

How We Use Information

We may use personal information to:

  • operate, maintain, and provide our websites, store, APP, devices, firmware, and customer services;
  • process payments, confirm orders, arrange delivery, manage pre-orders, provide tracking, and administer returns, refunds, repairs, and warranty support;
  • pair, activate, configure, diagnose, update, secure, and support Photon Matrix devices;
  • provide APP functions such as device status, controls, operating settings, scan angle, elimination distance, and other available device-management features;
  • answer questions and communicate about orders, product updates, safety notices, service messages, and support requests;
  • improve product reliability, safety, usability, performance, software, firmware, and customer experience;
  • measure website and campaign performance and, where permitted, personalize content and advertising;
  • detect, investigate, and prevent fraud, abuse, counterfeit sales, unauthorized access, security incidents, and violations of our terms;
  • comply with legal, tax, customs, accounting, product-safety, regulatory, and law-enforcement requirements; and
  • establish, exercise, or defend legal claims and protect users, Photon Matrix, and the public.

We may aggregate or de-identify information and use it for analytics, product development, research, safety testing, and business planning where permitted by law. We do not attempt to re-identify information that we maintain in de-identified form.

How We Disclose Information

We do not disclose personal information except as described in this Policy or as explained at the time of collection. We may disclose information to:

  • Service providers: ecommerce, payment, cloud hosting, APP development, data storage, delivery, customer support, email, analytics, advertising, security, and fraud-prevention providers that process information for us.
  • Logistics and transaction partners: carriers, warehouses, customs brokers, payment processors, banks, and other parties needed to complete and deliver an order.
  • Affiliates and authorized partners: companies or partners supporting Photon Matrix operations, distribution, support, or after-sales service, subject to applicable safeguards.
  • Authorities and legal recipients: regulators, courts, customs authorities, law-enforcement agencies, or other parties where disclosure is required by law or reasonably necessary to protect rights, safety, property, or the integrity of the Services.
  • Corporate transaction parties: advisers, potential purchasers, investors, or successors in connection with a merger, financing, acquisition, restructuring, sale of assets, or similar transaction, subject to appropriate confidentiality measures.
  • Other recipients at your direction: third parties you ask us to share information with or to whom you connect the Services.

We may disclose aggregated or de-identified information that does not reasonably identify you. We do not sell personal information for money. Certain analytics or advertising disclosures may be considered a “sale,” “sharing,” or targeted advertising under some U.S. state laws; available opt-out choices are described below.

Shopify & Online Orders

Our online store is powered by Shopify. When you browse the store, create an account, place an order, make a payment, or request support, Shopify and its service providers process information needed to operate the storefront and complete the transaction.

This may include:

  • contact, billing, shipping, and order information;
  • product selections, cart activity, currency, discounts, and transaction history;
  • payment authorization, fraud and risk signals, chargeback information, and payment status;
  • IP address, browser, device, cookie identifiers, and interactions with the store; and
  • delivery, customs, return, refund, warranty, and customer-service records.

Payment information is handled by Shopify Payments or another payment provider selected at checkout. Those providers process information under their own privacy terms. Photon Matrix may receive transaction identifiers, payment status, limited payment-method details, and information needed for accounting, fraud prevention, refunds, and support.

For international orders, we may provide contact, shipment, product, value, and customs information to carriers, warehouses, customs brokers, and authorities as necessary to deliver the order and comply with import or export requirements.

APP & Device Data

The Photon Matrix APP allows compatible products to connect with a mobile device and may provide device setup, status monitoring, controls, settings, firmware or software support, diagnostics, and related functions.

APP and Mobile Device Information

Depending on the APP version, the features you use, and the permissions you grant, we may process APP version, mobile device model, operating system, language, network type, IP address, crash records, feature usage, notification token, Bluetooth or local-network permission, and approximate or precise location if a location-based feature requires it and you choose to enable that permission.

Photon Matrix Device Information

We may process product model, serial number or device identifier, firmware version, pairing or activation status, connection status, operating time, device status, selected control settings, scan angle, elimination-distance settings, error codes, diagnostic logs, and support or maintenance history.

Sensor and Vision Processing

Photon Matrix products may use LiDAR, millimeter-wave radar, vision modules, laser systems, and related sensors to detect, classify, track, and respond to mosquitoes and to support product-safety functions. Sensor or visual inputs may be processed locally by the device. If a feature, diagnostic process, or support request transfers sensor data, images, video, or logs from the device, the APP or support process will provide information about that transfer and request permission where required by applicable law.

Diagnostics and Support

When you request technical or after-sales support, we may ask you to provide the device serial number, firmware version, configuration, error records, logs, photos, or videos. We use this information to diagnose the issue, verify warranty status, improve product reliability, and provide the requested service.

Your Controls

You can manage many APP permissions through your mobile operating system. Disabling Bluetooth, local-network, notification, or location permissions may limit features that depend on those permissions. You may contact us to request access to or deletion of eligible APP or device information, subject to legal and technical limitations.

Cookies & Analytics

Our websites and online store use cookies, pixels, local storage, software development kits, and similar technologies. These technologies may be set by Photon Matrix or by third parties.

How We Use These Technologies

  • Strictly necessary: operate the website, remember cart contents, authenticate users, process checkout, provide security, and prevent fraud.
  • Preferences: remember language, region, currency, and display settings.
  • Analytics: understand traffic, page performance, feature usage, errors, and how visitors interact with our Services.
  • Marketing: measure campaigns, limit repeated advertising, build audiences, and show more relevant advertising where permitted.

We may use Shopify analytics, Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, and comparable tools where enabled. These providers may receive cookie identifiers, IP address, browser or device information, pages viewed, events, purchase or conversion information, and campaign data in accordance with their own privacy terms.

Where required, non-essential cookies are used only after you give consent. You can change available choices through the cookie preference tool on the relevant website and through your browser settings. Blocking some cookies may affect store, language, sign-in, or checkout functions.

Some browsers offer “Do Not Track” signals, but there is no uniform industry standard for responding to them. Where legally required and technically supported, we recognize applicable opt-out preference signals such as the Global Privacy Control.

Your Rights & Choices

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

  • request access to personal information we hold about you;
  • request correction of inaccurate or incomplete information;
  • request deletion of eligible information;
  • request restriction of or object to certain processing;
  • withdraw consent where processing is based on consent;
  • receive certain information in a portable format;
  • opt out of direct marketing, targeted advertising, or certain disclosures;
  • appeal a decision about a privacy request where applicable; and
  • complain to a competent data protection authority.

You may unsubscribe from marketing emails using the link in the email. Transactional, safety, product, warranty, and service communications may still be sent when necessary.

To submit a privacy request, email info@photonmatrixlab.com with the subject line “Privacy Request.” State the right you wish to exercise and identify the relevant account, order, APP, or device. Do not send passwords, full payment card numbers, government identity documents, or other sensitive information unless we specifically request an appropriate verification method.

We may ask for information reasonably necessary to verify your identity and protect your information. An authorized representative may submit a request where permitted by law, but we may require proof of authorization and identity. We will not discriminate against you for exercising applicable privacy rights.

EEA & UK Legal Bases

If the General Data Protection Regulation, UK GDPR, or a similar law applies, we process personal data under one or more of the following legal bases:

  • Contract: processing needed to provide the Services, complete an order, deliver products, manage an account or device, and provide support.
  • Legitimate interests: operating and improving the Services, maintaining security, preventing fraud and counterfeit activity, understanding performance, managing business operations, and protecting legal rights, provided those interests are not overridden by your rights.
  • Consent: marketing, optional cookies, optional APP permissions, or other processing where consent is required. You may withdraw consent at any time without affecting earlier lawful processing.
  • Legal obligation: tax, accounting, customs, product-safety, consumer-protection, regulatory, and lawful government requirements.
  • Vital interests or public interest: limited situations involving safety, urgent protection, or other grounds recognized by applicable law.

Changzhou Guangzhiju Intelligent Technology Co., Ltd is the controller of personal data covered by this Policy unless a feature-specific notice identifies another controller. Shopify and other providers may also act as independent controllers for information they process for their own purposes.

Children’s Privacy

The Services are not directed to children under 16, and Photon Matrix products are not toys. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16 without valid consent from a parent or legal guardian where required by law.

If you believe a child has provided personal information to us without appropriate consent, please contact us. We will take reasonable steps to investigate and delete the information where required.

Data Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, loss, misuse, or destruction. Measures may include access controls, authentication, encryption in transit where appropriate, logging, vendor review, backup controls, security monitoring, and staff procedures.

No method of transmission, storage, or security is completely reliable. We cannot guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials, securing your mobile device and network, installing official APP and firmware updates, and notifying us if you suspect unauthorized access.

International Transfers of Personal Data

Photon Matrix is based in China and serves customers internationally. Your information may be processed in China and in other countries or regions where Shopify, cloud providers, payment providers, logistics partners, support providers, analytics providers, or other service providers operate.

Data protection laws in those locations may differ from the laws in your country. Where applicable law requires safeguards for international transfers, we use appropriate mechanisms such as contractual protections, standard contractual clauses, adequacy decisions, consent, or another lawful transfer mechanism.

You may contact us for more information about the safeguards applicable to a specific transfer, subject to confidentiality, security, and legal restrictions.

Data Retention

We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Policy, including to provide the Services, maintain product and warranty records, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, prevent fraud, protect security, and enforce agreements.

Retention periods depend on factors such as:

  • the type, sensitivity, and amount of information;
  • the duration of an account, order, device connection, warranty, or customer relationship;
  • the period needed for support, diagnostics, product safety, security, or fraud prevention;
  • tax, accounting, customs, consumer, and regulatory requirements; and
  • applicable limitation periods and legal claims.

When information is no longer needed, we delete, anonymize, or securely isolate it, subject to backup cycles and legal requirements. Aggregated or de-identified information may be retained for longer where permitted by law.

Third-Party Services

The Services may contain links to, integrate with, or rely on third-party services such as Shopify, payment providers, delivery companies, campaign platforms, customer-service tools, analytics providers, advertising networks, social media platforms, app stores, operating-system providers, and embedded media.

Third parties may collect information directly from you and process it under their own terms and privacy policies. Photon Matrix is not responsible for third-party services that we do not control. Review the privacy information provided by those parties before using their services or giving them information.

Downloading the Photon Matrix APP from an app store may cause the app-store operator to process account, download, device, payment, or usage information under its own policy.
